Geisinger CEO David Feinberg is moving over to Google to head up its healthcare sector. Yesterday that Feinberg is stepping down and Dr. Jaewon Ryu will be taking over as interim president and CEO of the organization.
While Geisinger's announcement was relatively vague about what Feinberg will be doing at Google, and organizing the tech giant’s many health initiatives. The article goes on to specifically mention Google Brain, Nest and Google Fit as divisions that he will be involved with.
“It has been a great privilege to lead Geisinger during the past nearly four years,” Feinberg said in a statement about leaving Geisinger. “Together, we have improved patient and member experience, along with our quality of care, employee engagement and physician and nurse recruitment, and our legacy of innovation has blossomed.”
Health IT company Greenway Health has named Kimberly O’Loughlin as its new president. Before this announcement she was serving as the chief operating officer. In this new role O'Loughlin will oversee product management, customer support, professional services, implementation, revenue services and quality and regulatory affairs.

AristaMD, a San Diego-based telehealth company, announced that Justin Nelson will be joining its team as senior vice president of sales. Prior to AristaMD, Nelson held roles at multiple companies including mPulse Mobile, TigerText, Oracle and ShoreTel.
“Nelson brings a wealth of knowledge and sales expertise that will greatly support AristaMD’s expansion plans moving forward,” Brooke LeVasseur, CEO of AristaMD, said in a statement. “We look forward to working with Justin and believe his approach and background in the healthcare industry is suited to spearhead AristaMD’s sales strategy, as the company continues to rapidly expand across the country.”
Barry Gutwillig will be joining PatientKeeper, an EHR accelerator, as the new vice president of sale and marketing. In this new role, he will be in charge of all marketing initiatives in the company and outreach initiatives to expand the customer and partnership base.
Before coming to PatientKeeper, Gutwillig worked for Lexmark Healthcare, IBM Watson Health and Massachusetts General Hospital, according to a statement.

Last week predictive analytics startup Owkin announced that it named Michael Pressigout the executive vice president of global solutions. Before coming to Owkin, he was the chief information officer at France’s Institute Pasteur. In his new role at Owkin, Pressigout will be zeroing in on AI and working with research institutions to bring machine learning into their work.
