Chicago-based Huron Consulting Group, a global consulting firm with a , has acquired mobile health software company for an unidsclosed amount. HCG will make MyRounding part of its healthcare group and make its software available to hospital clients.

Denver, Colorado-based MyRounding was founded in 2012. The company's product is an iPad and web app that supports doctors, nurses, and other hospital professionals that do rounds. By doing rounds with a tablet, and digitally collecting their feedback on how patients are faring, hospitals can track patients more consistently and more quickly respond to their needs and requests. The cloud-based platform can also feed data into a hospital's electronic health record.

Since its inception, MyRounding has announced no funding, other than some undisclosed seed rounds. However, they did have some customer wins. They recently announced that Altamonte Springs, Florida-based had elected to use MyRounding in place of paper-based clipboards at 25 of its 44 hospitals. Another customer was .
MyRounding CEO and COO Tony Gorski and David Marshall will join HCG as managing directors. More than 25 MyRounding employees will also join the company.
